Priya Basil, the visionary founder of Modern Tech Nursing, has been a beacon of guidance and inspiration for nursing students for over 25 years. As a former nurse with extensive leadership experience, she has dedicated her life to supporting aspiring nurses from around the globe, especially those striving to achieve their dreams in Canada and the US.
Her journey into creating an online digital platform was born out of compassion, experience, and a desire to make quality education accessible to everyone. During her years teaching in-person classes, Priya recognized a significant challenge: many students couldn’t attend due to financial constraints or other personal barriers. Though she firmly believed that in-person teaching was the gold standard, the COVID-19 pandemic shifted her perspective.
Through online live classes, Priya discovered that students remained engaged, participated actively, and could attend classes even when unwell. This revelation sparked a profound idea: students don’t necessarily need to be in a classroom to succeed—they need the right study plan, resources, and flexibility.
Determined to make nursing education affordable and accessible, Priya worked tirelessly for four years to develop a comprehensive online learning platform. Her digital program is designed for nursing students preparing for their licensing exams, offering a 45-day structured plan with all the tools needed for success.
